White Frog Colony

Boonsboro, MD

I found this photograph in the FSA Collection at the Library of Congress. I don't have a clue as to what the Frog Colony was all about. If you have any info about this place, please contact me.

The white frog colony was at the Lilypons goldfish farm near Frederick, Md. A 1937 article in the Baltimore Sun tells the story that a C.C. Moler had 23 albino frogs. Some or all of these had been found at the Lilypons site.
