John Kennedy Lacock Cumberland Road Postcard No. 71: Main Street, Scenery Hill (Hillsboro), Pa.1908Scenery Hill, PACaption: The Cumberland Road forms the Main Street of the town. Scenery Hill is about Midway between Brownsville and Washington. This is another small town which is the outgrowth of the Cumberland Road. It is situated on a high and lofty eminence overlooking a wide range of hills and many fertile slopes and valleys. Laurel Ridge 30 miles south eastward can be seen from this pinnacle. Scenery Hill was laid out in 1819 - a date coincident with the completion of the 'road.' Previous Cumberland Road Postcard | Next Cumberland Road Postcard | Lacock Index
