Route 40N - KansasBetween 1926-1935, there existed a rather curious split in Route 40's alignment. From east to west, the split began at Junction City, Kansas. Route 40S follows the path that we today know as Route 40. Route 40N went northwest and continued on to Limon, Colorado. Route 24 replaced the designation of Route 40N between Junction City and Limon, Colorado.
