Bear Creek BridgeMcFarland RoadHancock, MD 21750 Bear Creek Bridge is a wooden timber bridge spanning Bear Creak 10 miles west of Hancock, Washington County, Maryland on the west slope of Sideling Hill. It is about 100 feet of Sideling Hill Creek. The bridge was built in 1916 and was rehabilitated in 1996. It is 22 feet in length and has a 24 foot deck. The bridge is part of the original National Pike and the original alignment of Route 40; today it is marked as McFarland Road and State Route 144. For more information:
