John Kennedy Lacock Cumberland Road Postcard No. 68: Main Street, Beallsville, Pa.1908Beallsville, PACaption: This town was the outgrowth of the Cumberland Road. It was laid out in 1821 and incorporated as a borough in 1852. Like most of the smaller towns along the 'road,' the chief part of the town is situated on both sides of this great thoroughfare. At the western entrance to the town it was necessary to make a very deep cut. (See No. 69.) Previous Cumberland Road Postcard | Next Cumberland Road Postcard | Lacock Index
