John Kennedy Lacock Braddock Road Postcard No. 38: Half King's Rocks, near Jumonville, Pa.1908Jumonville, PACaption: Orme's description of these rocks, which is so clear and exact, follows: 'This Indian camp was in a string position, being upon a high rock with a very narrow and steep ascent to the top. It has a spring in the middle, and stood at the termination of the Indian path to the Monongahela, at the confluence of Red-Stone Creek.' Braddock's tenth encampment, called Rock Fort, better known as the Great Rock, near Washington Springs and the Half King's old camp, is two miles southward of Dunbar's Camp.
