This photo shows the intersection of the old Braddock Road with the old Cumberland Road in Sandy Gap, on the western slope of Wills Mountain, opposite the old Steiner house, now owned by Frederick Lang. This spot is bare of timber and can be distinctly seen from Big Savage Mountain.
