I used to work at the Golden Ox in Denver back in the 60's--I am now 70 years old and have very fond memories of the Restaurant and the staff. I eventually became an assistant manager and on a Sat. night we would serve upwards to 700 steaks on an open charcoal grill. All our steaks were aged in house for at least 21 days and some a lot more. I could go on and on but suffice to say The Golden Ox was the premier steak house in Denver back in the day. It's always sad to see something you were involved with during your life time go by the wayside. |
