This diner has been on this site since the golden age of automobiling. 'Yeah, this was a hoppin' place back then,' says the owner's son. 'We had a jukebox and sometimes a line out the door.' Two things drove them out of business: McDonald's and the opening of I-95 (which parallels Route 40). Those two events took most of their customers away.
This old diner building is now used for Pulaski Highway Motors, a junkyard and car dealership.
