Double T Diner

Manufacturer: Kullman 1998

Thomas Doxanas and his partner Tony opened the first Double T Diner opened in 1959 in Catonsville at the intersection of Route 40 and Rolling Road. The Napolas brothers (Nick and Angelo) ran the business which was known for its extensive menu and 24-hour operation.

As a teenager I spent many late nights at the Catonsville Double T when every other eatery had closed. French fries with gravy were a popular item.

In 1987, John, Tom and Louie Korologos bought the diner and expanded the Double franchise. Today, there are a total of eight Double T Diners in the central Maryland area: the original Catonsville location as well a counterparts in Annapolis, Bel Air (Blair to all you non-Baltimoreans), Ellicott City (also on Route 40), Frederick, Pasadena, Perry Hall and White Marsh (still another on Route 40).

Here's a video review of the Double T Diner's Annapolis location.
