Katy Trail

At 225 miles, the Katy is America's longest rails-to-trails route. Set on the former railbed of the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad (hence the name, KT), it roughly parallels Route 40. In fact, the various alignments of Route 40 cross the Katy Trail five times - twice in St. Charles, New Franklin and twice in Boonville.
