Wharton's Tavern (site)Old National PikeBartonsville, MD 21704 From Searight's The Old Pike (1894): Three miles west of New Market, Frank Wharton kept a tavern, and a good one. He was rough in manner, and could swear longer and louder than Wilse Clement, but he kept his house in good shape and did an extensive business.
