The Locust Lodge in this photo was located on U.S. Rt. 40 in Middlebourne, Guernsey County, OH. It was formerly the Hayes Tavern. It was not at St. Clairsville. |

My Mother and Father met each other here in 1940. I was wondering if the building is still there. Would love to know if it still there and what it is being used for. The Churchmans owned it. It was a lodge . My mother was a maid and my father was a cook. |

Yes, I would like to know the exact location of the Hays Tavern.
My grandmother, Lillian Hays, I believe that was her father.
So, I would like to visit the site if possible.
Thank you.

I'm one of the original Churchmans who Lived in Locust Lodge
from 1938 until 1944. I loved that time in my life until my mother and I moved to California. I had a wonderful life there and have a lot of fond memories of that time in my life. |
