Hi! My husband and I recently purchased the farm across the street from where the old Shipway's Tourist Camp on Route 40 in Flintstone, MD was located. Our neighbor told us that the old Esso Gas station that was part of Shipway's was on our property and a few of the cottages that were part of the motel were located on our land too. I am very very interested in any history of Shipway's Gas station and/or any pictures or postcards anyone may want to sell. I love history and would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has any knowledge of that area. |
