Walt's wanted to be a real diner in the worst way, but it had a long way to go. The decor was Spartan and 100% artificial retro. This burger and dogs joint mainly catered to the lunch crowd.
The thing that really turned me off was the attitude of the former owner. On one visit I asked if they had veggie burgers and the owner proceeded to yell at me. On another visit I waited at the counter for ten mintes while she talked on the phone. When I posted my experiences at Walt's on this web site the owner called me up and yelled at me again and called me unpatriotic. Jeesh!
Needless to say, I was not saddened when this place shut down. Some people just aren't cut out to be in the restaurant business.
