I've been driving past the boat building for about 30 years. 'Noah's Ark Being Rebuilt Here!' the sign proclaims. For many, many years, there was absolutely nothing to see. After a long delay steel beams finally starting going up. For the past ten or fifteen years it appears the building of the ark hasn't had as much as a single bolt or nail added. If we were facing a real global flood, at the rate this boat is being built, we would soon be facing the end of mankind.
Started by the Pastor Richard Greene, the plans are to make the ark a Christian center housing a school, Bible college, 1,500 seat auditorium, conference facilities, a Noah's Ark historical room, counseling center, and facilities for radio and television broadcasts.
You have to admire Greene's dedication and persistence. My guess is that this ark will be completed about the same time as the Crazy Horse mountain carving in South Dakota.
