Former owners Andy Carey, Robert Carey and Jean Hagan had this old diner hauled in from West Chester, Pennsylvania at great cost and effort. Once in place, it became one of the few east coast diners on Route 40 to be found west of the Rocky Mountains.
Great service and OK food. I ate there on a Saturday evening in July of 2001 and I think there were only four or five other customers. Made me wonder why some many people were staying away. A few months later when I took the train through Truckee, I was happy to see the parking lot packed.
